‘We know the government does not always act in our best interest’
In the opinion section of your September 2, 2021 issue, Dr. Jacob Martinez wrote his opinion in support of student mandate masks.
He speaks of science but provides none. He also accuses school board members of peddling misinformation while in the next paragraph suggests that families suffer devastating loss from children not wearing masks. Sounds like a lot like misinformation to me.
It seems unfair to demand the school board mandate masks and totally ignore the harmful issues related to wearing masks. I’m sure the doctor is well aware of the many related problems.
Sometimes a good dose of common sense — and give parents credit for doing what’s best for their children — is a better solution to this issue.
We know the government does not always act in our best interest!
