Regional tournaments scheduled

Local high school golf teams will have a chance to advance to the Michigan High School Athletic Association finals this week with regional tournaments taking place at various sites around the area.
Here are how the local teams did last week in golf action.

May 24 SEC at the Grande: Tecumseh finished third at the Grande Golf Club near Jackson. The Indians finished with a four-man total of 347. David Clarke finished in the top 10 individually with a 79. Aldo Barba shot an 86, and Joe Nowak and Ryder Zajac shot 91s.

LCAA at Woodlawn: Clinton finished fifth at the Lenawee County Athletic Association tournament at Woodlawn Golf Course. Clinton scored 404 in the 18-hole event. Jacob Rothman led Clinton with an 84 tying for medalist honors. Eric Berndt shot a 100 and Nate Arntz finished at 105 for Clinton.

Division 2 at Tecumseh Golf Club, June 3 — Adrian, Allen Park, Carleton Airport, Chelsea, Dearborn Divine Child, Dearborn Heights Annapolis, Garden City, Gibraltar Carlson, Milan, Monroe Jefferson, New Boston Huron, Pinckney, Redford Thurston, Riverview, Romulus Summit Academy North, South Lyon East, Southgate Anderson, Tecumseh, and Trenton.

Division 3 at Timber Ridge, June 1 — Adrian Madison, Bath, Byron, Clinton, Columbia Central, Durand, Grass Lake, Hanover-Horton, Laingsburg, Lansing Catholic, Leslie, Lumen Christi, Michigan Center, Napoleon, Onsted, Perry, Pewamo-Westphalia, Portland, and Springport.
