Clinton football suffers 1st loss of season against Hudson

Clinton was dealt its first loss of the season Friday, falling 36-28 to Hudson at home.
After Nick Kopin scored the last touchdown of the first quarter to put the Tigers ahead 12-6 on a 50-yard run, Hudson’s lead bounced back and forth between a one- and two-possession margin the rest of the game.
Clinton’s Bradyn Lehman scored the final TD of the matchup on a 1-yard run before converting a two-point conversation with a rush to make it 36-28 with 26 seconds left in the fourth quarter.
Lehman led the Redwolves in touchdowns (three), yards receiving (113 on five catches) and yards rushing (69 on 18 rushes).
Kopin compiled 255 yards rushing on 25 carries for the Division 8 Tigers (3-0).
The Division 6 Redwolves (2-1) were coming off two dominating victories, defeating Manchester 48-15 and Gabriel Richard 63-20.
Clinton, which plays Friday at Ida, has not lost two consecutive games in five years.
